In DECEMBER 2022 The Black Theatre Alliance of Philadelphia (BTAP) offered HOLIDAY grants to Black theatre organizations and producers in the Greater Philadelphia region for the presentation of a theatrical event through August 27, 2023.

Applications opened Monday, December 5, 2022 at 10am.
Grants were awarded in the order in which eligible applications are received (a first-come, first-serve basis). Applications closed December 16, 2022
Eligibility
-Eligible organizations must have an annual operating budget of less than $150,000
-Proposed theatrical event must be completed by August 27, 2023.
-While the micro-grants do not have to be used specifically to pay artists, artists must be paid for the project
-Applicants must provide evidence of budgetary and payment details at the time of application
-Black led organization with majority Black artistic team for project geared towards Black audiences
Project must take place within 35-mile radius of Philadelphia’s City Hall.
